6:00 AM – Rise and Shine

The day begins early at McDaniel Furnace & Sheet Metal, as we know our neighbors in Independence and the surrounding areas count on us for their comfort. After my morning coffee and a quick check of the day’s weather forecast, I load up the service van with essential parts and tools.

7:30 AM – First Call

Our first stop is in Blue Springs, where a homeowner reported their furnace making unusual noises. These early morning calls are crucial, especially during the cold Missouri winters. I perform a thorough inspection, finding a worn belt that needs replacement – a common issue that’s fortunately quick to resolve.

10:00 AM – Furnace Replacement Project

The next job takes me to Lee’s Summit, where we’re installing a new energy-efficient heating system. These installations typically take several hours, requiring:

  • Removal of old equipment
  • Careful positioning of the new unit
  • Precise ductwork modifications
  • thorough system testing

2:30 PM – Emergency Service Call

A Liberty resident needs urgent furnace repair. When temperatures drop, a non-functioning heater becomes an emergency, especially for homes with elderly residents or young children. Today’s issue turns out to be a faulty ignitor – a relatively straightforward fix.

4:00 PM – Final Service Check

The day wraps up with a routine maintenance call in Independence. Regular maintenance helps prevent unexpected breakdowns and extends system life. After completing the service, I ensure all paperwork is properly filed and the van is restocked for tomorrow’s calls.

Being part of the McDaniel team means taking pride in keeping our community warm and comfortable, one home at a time. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our neighbors maintain comfortable, efficient homes throughout the year.
