6:00 AM – Rise and Shine
My day at Energy Services begins before the sun rises. After a quick breakfast and checking the weather forecast, I load up my service van with the essential parts and tools we might need for today’s assignments.
7:00 AM – Morning Brief
At the office, we have our morning team meeting. Today’s schedule shows several urgent furnace repair calls in Naperville and Wheaton, plus a scheduled heating system installation in Downers Grove.
8:30 AM – First Call
My first stop is a furnace repair in Naperville. The homeowner reported their system making unusual noises. After a thorough diagnostic check, I identify a worn-out blower motor bearing – a common issue during peak heating season.
11:00 AM – Emergency Call
Between scheduled appointments, we receive an urgent call from Bolingbrook. An elderly resident’s heating system completely stopped working. These are the calls that remind me why I love this job – helping people stay warm and safe during harsh Illinois winters.
2:00 PM – Maintenance Education
While servicing a unit in Lisle, I spend time educating the homeowner about:
- Regular filter changes
- Annual maintenance importance
- Energy efficiency tips
- Warning signs of system failure
4:30 PM – Final Service Call
My last stop takes me to Aurora for a routine maintenance check. These preventative services help customers avoid costly emergency repairs during the coldest months.
6:00 PM – Day’s End
Back at the shop, I complete my service reports and prep the van for tomorrow. Another satisfying day helping our communities stay comfortable through the Illinois winter.
Working at Energy Services means being ready for anything while maintaining the highest standards of professional HVAC service across our service area. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our neighbors stay comfortable in their homes.
